400 with out pushing it.

RB25 tuning has come along way since the early "Anymore than 350 and they pop" days.

Few guys are on 450-490 on stock bottom ends aswell.

I'll be tackleing this soon as well, hoping for about 350 400 bracket

Wouldnt be easier to achieve 400 450 with a standalone ECU rather than piggyback??

Plus it would run a hell of a lot safer

Remap is just as efficient

why would a standalone ecu run a hell of a lot safer than a properly mapped piggyback?

a properly done remap/piggyback will likely be even safer, as it maintains stock knock control and other such niceties.

I was thinking more along the lines of having a detonation meter and cut, more tunning points than a emanage, boost control ect that you get with a standalone....

You shouldnt need knock control if your tune is good.

i wouldnt get too excited thinking you will make 390+

i have same mods with a GT3082R and i only pulled 330rwhp @ 16psi through a built auto, which maybe is why i didnt get that much but who knows.

16psi isn't a whole lot of boost for a turbo that size though dude
i dont' think that's such a bad power output at all
wind in 22psi and see how it goes:)

You have an issue. Even an auto should get 400 pushed a little harder.

put it on a dyno... you will find out what it will be :)

what do you think could be a problem?

from what most people have told me, through the auto its pretty good power to be making...?

Going to have to push in the boost
what manifold is it

18-20 PSI should be around 390-400rwhp without popping it! I have a similar setup (GT30R) been running 18-20 PSI for a few years still waiting for it to pop so I can go forged but it aint happeneing! I am goiung to wind it ova 20 and see what happens when I have the cash ready for the new pistons and rods!
