Installing a momo

is this sumthing u shuld take 2 a shop or is it pretty straight forawrd? its been sitting here with the boss kit for a few weeks now and i really want it in... or is there any1 out there that wants to make a quick $50? cheers

Pretty easy to do, especially as you've got no airbags. Hardest part might be removing the old wheel from the steering shaft splines, depending how tight it is on there.

cheers m8 im givin it a shot now but i think the horn has got me stumped lol but none the less ill give it a shot... need 2 get rid of that 89shitt1er wheel its killing me

Normally the horn's are easy to wire up...if they don't plug in (which they do on some cars with some wheels), then you just need to get some blade connectors and do some soldering :)

Don't undo the steering wheel nut off all the way until you've tugged the wheel loose. Its very easy to smack yourself in the face with it!

If its too tight I'm pretty sure you can get a steering wheel pulley from Repco or what I did was hit the bolt with a hammer and pull as it was way to tight but I have heard that some people have had there steering columns colaps this way so don't hit it to hard.

hmmm no luck that wheels been on for 20 years and i think its formed a relationship with it, guna have 2 check out that steering wheel pulley, or take the e.z way out and pay someone.. any1 here no someone?

Get a tanky mate to come n do it, 20yrs don't make no difference, they all come off, ya have to grunt n groan n pull one side a bit then the other side, then both sides at once give it a real sharp tug (jump back in ya seat sort of thing). But like the other guy said, don;t undo the nut all the way or you'll smack yaself in the face with it.

just give it shit, really big sharp hard yanks and it'll come off eventually
i had to do it recently on my daily shitter, 89 31 and it was a bastard of a job
but it came off eventually
i found shouting abuse helped haha
