Ok people , I have booked another one.
Morning session 8.30am-12.30 and limited again to minimum of 12 people at $100ea with the same format and training as the first two. I will be in the car with you giving encouragement, advice, help , abuse.... as usual. Hehehe
Trick with this one is I will be taking the details and names , NOT John Clark.
Cash , cheques , money orders , credit cards will be taken and there is NO , absolutely NO on the day paying.
We have been shafted 4 times by people not turning up so no pay/no play.
First 12 in get it and contact me on the details below or
0418 927 415.
Don't forget you will need to have done the training prior to being eligible for the drift demo series next year.
Ohh and one more thing , if you have already done a session with me , you are not eligible to enter again ( yet).
Sorry Mike , Gav , bangers and all you other drift nutters :)

Forgot to add the usual. You will need
RWD
Manual
Working h/brake ( not essential but damn helpful )
Ability to follow instructions
2 rear tyres you don't like. :)
Doesn't have to be a sil /turbo/600hp ( would be nice tho!) but front wheel drive is not really gonna cut it
4wd is ok but you had better be bloody good

hmm if i get a rwd manual by that time, and theres still a spot.. i'll have to definetely come along and see why they call you driftmaster ken..

G'day Ken,
I'm obviously no crazy drift nut but i wouldnt mind having a bit of a go. Problem is my car is Automatic (not to mention australian and v8.) now it is shift kitted without a redicuously high stall and i do have a good quality b&m shifter, is it possible for this combo to give it a go?
Tell me what you reckon.
Cheers,
Graham

Is tricky because one of the tricks to unstick the back end is compression lockup( shift lock for those who like to quote the Drift Bible).
The h/brake can also be a problem , especially as most are average and hard to operate at best on the Oz models.
But hey, it's worth a try and you will never know if you don't give it a go :)

Cams ?? what's that ??
Civil , I am unsure but will check.
As it's private property and your own car , it may be ok but will confirm.

There will be 3 drift demo days but you must have done training prior to entering.
First one is around late March atm but may change depending on track readiness.

I could but 2 reasons why not.
1) The rental is prolly something you wouldn't really want to know about :boink: :naughty:
2) A Maverick can be a bitch to drift...

ken, if i am able to get my ae86 in time would that be alright to come along and give it ago ?, not too sure if the handbrakes work unlike the s13's but they are rwd, single spinners and naturally aspirated though, would they have enough power to get it goin ??
thanks mate
Rick
Just hope i dont require a valid drivers license for the drift demo in march. :/

Corey , a FWD will just not work on most of the exercises we do.
The only way to drift a front wheeler is constant and prolonged use of the h/brake combined with a tight front LSD but still there wont be much action or smoke.
The idea of show drift is to be as sideways as you can for as long as you can with mucho smoko...
You don't see too many ( ie. none ) FWD's in D1 or really any Jap drift series because they just don't work.
Sorry
Ken

If it's rwd and capable of spinning the wheels , we can prolly do something with it.
Single spinner can be a problem but revs can overcome.... :)

awesome ken, i hope i can get my ae86/gazelle/piazza or r34gtr by than and there is a spot left.. by the way, prolonged use of the handbrake is stupid if it aint in the wet, as you'll leave perty flat spots on the tyres causing your car to shake like shit, trust me i know, and my mum does too ;), id like to see a fwd attempt to drift, just dont see how it could be done efficiently..
