Essay mode on.

Im having some issue with boost atm.

Formerly, the car ran a susposed 98 wrx motor with a vf30 turbo. With no boost control the turbo would make .55 or so bar. This is less then a standard WRX and its due to a modified actuator.

Purchased a old school Blitz SBC, two dials, two buttons. On/Off , and Hi/Low mode buttons, which each dial is to set the level on each setting. Awesomely simple.

Had it set to .6 low and .95 high, and it held this all day every day without issue.

Just swapped the motor, to a 97 Legacy TT motor, found out the old motor isnt quite a 98 motor, more like 91/2/3.

Now without any sort of boost control it makes only .4 bar, using the same turbo/manifold/exhaust setup as before.

With the EBC switched off but plugged in it makes .6 bar.

With it turned on to low it makes .7 but bleeds back to .6/5/4 real quick.

With it set to high it makes .8 and then bleeds back. Wind more level into it, makes the same boost, wind maximum in it makes a tiny bit more. I guess the good thing about it all is that it is not making more then the injectors will handle, which is 1 bar, so thats a bonus.

What the hell is going on :)

No luck with the 3 port boost solenoid?

We tried two other solenoids, both made the issue worse refusing to run more then .4 bar.

Bit too late to search Welshpool at 4pm on a Friday too.
