Space Monkey

Heard on the news on 92.9 yesterday morning that kids in schools south of the river are playing a new game called space monkey. the game alledgedly involves strangling eachother to restrict blood flow to the brain until just before or when the person passes out. so that they can get a "buzz" when the blood rushes back to the brain...

Tried to find a news article but couldn't. Did anyone else hear bout this. MAkes me wonder what the next generation of kids will be doing on lunch time breaks for fun...

At my primary school in Vic at one stage they did something similar, kinda. I think they held their breath until it all started going black n shit. But you did it to yourself, not someone else. Spew if u accidentally kill someone

We use to play "the money game" at school. Same sort of thing as barcode or gauntlet.
Everyone stands in a circle and someone throws money in the middle then you have to get the money. Big crackdown on this after someone got their nose broken

u get on orange juice carton or choc milk... push the top down so its a square/rectangular box. people stand in a circle. u throw it to someone and they hit it up in the air and u have to keep it in the air (like hacky sack but can use any body part). if it lands on teh floor with the barcode facing up. everyone gets to punch u. well thats how we played it...

You use a juice or milk box (one of the bigger ones, or the square ones).
Basically need a small group of people, stand in a circle and you had to hit the box up into the air around the group, if you're the last one to hit it and it lands on the ground barcode side up everyone gets to punch you. You can't avoid it either, that also results in punching.

We used to play hacky sac at work every night during dinner break till some dude launched himself into the roller door and knocked himself out going for a speccie header. The accident report form resulted in a ban on the sport from that day on hahaha.

ever heard of ringkong?? u squash the milk carton/juice carton same as barcode style, then u have to kick it round, if its within a metre radius of you u are open to be kicked how ever hard the person thinks is necessary. so u haev to be quik and kick it towards some one else. this game only runs for 10 mins max until teachers squash the carton, never saw a teacher cop the 10 punches tho????

I'd say it spread on the weekends...when cousins or family friends or mates from sporting teams from different schools got together, and decided they were bored, they probably played barcodes.

Then at school on Monday, everyone was introduced to it :)

that happened to me. I got up, went to the toilet, washed it off my jacket. Walked into the class room, went to sit down but as I did I turned around and punched the pingpingpingping who did it in the face. Hard enough to break his nose.
