was awesome, picked the encore at the start of the night, plug in baby went off and knights of cydonia perfect way to end the night
awesome little jam sessions extending some of the songs too

dominic plays the bass, matt is the guitarist, pianist , vocalist etc and man can he play, new tom morello for sure, knows how to weild that axe

anyone guess how many people were there, was pretty huge, bigger then i thought, woulda been difficult to sell out that venue

They have to be one of the best live acts in the world.

Attention Linkin Park - THAT is how you do a stage setup. and THAT is how you rock the fuck out.

Show was absolutely brilliant. And not only did we get Apocalypse Please AND Citizen Erased, but we also got FURY - fans worldwide are going nuts on the muse forums over that little gem :)

Matt Bellamy - single-handedly (literally) bringing finger-tapping solos back into rock music. The way he can improv fluttery solos like that while he's singing blows my mind....and thats before we even get to his piano playing.

Chris' bass lines are a really underrated part of how hard they rock as a band, imho.

Stage setup was just cool. Space invaders clips, dancing robots, live feed cameras onto the side screens, lasers, projected lights onto the clear perspex piano lid, and of course the giant beachballs for the crowd to play with during the encore - awesome.

First gig I've been to at Supreme Court Gardens, having missed Bowie, and I really like it as a venue.

LOL at the support bands 2-song set beforehand :)

Bloody went off last night! :D

Only gripe I had was when they were holding us in from the main crowd area, I almost got pushed into the bins a few times (very dumb thing to put them near the separation checkpoint in the fence) and as the crowd surged through the gate in the barricade, I almost got my leg crushed with part of the fence bearing down on my stuck leg due to someone falling over during the rush and hitting the fence. Security guard got me free and pulled me through, thankfully.

Sorry but i think linkin park was shitloads better live.

Simply because they had the crowd going and were more involved where as muse just sort of played.

No denying they didnt play hard and they sounded fucking awesome i just think the overall atmosphere of linkin park was insane.

When did they play citizen erased !!!
i dont remem hearing it

fantastic show!!!

the sound was awesome.. as for the delay reports say it was actually due to the barrier coming off the floor and not being able to hold the people in..
45 minute delay they came on at 9.40 i think.
Lost all friends there slightly intoxicated myself and brockas being approx 4 people from the front in the centre. ABSOLUTELY SPECTACULAR lighting and visuals. Good to see them rock out and boy can they put on a show.

Did notice the lesbians LoL.. they were there and in full force.

Team sweatbox represent thanks Mr paaaaarracchi for the tickets i love you long time

Bulgogi might have been shoved past you. I Do remember someone on the ground as i got shoved through the cattle gates

You dont call giant beach balls for the crowd to play with crowd involvement? I felt that LP were the band that simply just played through their songs as they are on their albums - complete with just chucking on the stock standard video clips on the solitary background screen. Matt was improv-ing solos left right and centre, they were breaking into jams between songs, the works.

I spose my main point is 2 "international" acts, 2 venues capable of basically putting on whatever stage show they wanted, and for $110 LP was easily bettered by Muse at $85 ticket.

When did they play citizen erased !!!
i dont remem hearing it

setlist:

Take a bow
Map otp
New born
butterflies
apocalypse please
Supermassive bh
sunburn
Citizen erased
Soldiers poem
Invincible
Fury

Plug in baby

Yeah, if you saw a guy on the other side of the gate, near the guy on the ground (to the left of him), that was me. The guy on the ground was sort of on top of the fence and that was pushing into my leg.

lol

saw the back of some dudes head, yelled "oi brockas" - blind stab in the dark, it was him hahaha

so who here is a recent muse fan and who here has been around since the beginning ? :D

i would have had an insane night regardless, but the fact they played CE and fury took it that one step higher. So many stunned mullets in the crowd with the "WTF face" when fury came on lol

fury - special track for the japs on abso. They pay loads for cds so some bands put in an extra song or two for their market only

I thought it was funny that the dirty secrets only played 3 songs.

Did brockas do his charge for the front barrier again !

I was back half so may be why the atmosphere wasnt as good. I cant believe i dont remem them playing citizen erased. There best song by far !

Ps. Linkin park played more tracks from there first cd's over there later ones where as muse only really played absolution and black holes and revelations.

Skitzo
12-11-2007, 08:28 AM
dirty secrets played more then 3 songs.... they played a few...(all sounded the same imo) then they fixed the barriers then they came on and finished off....

would of loved to of heard fillip, cave and muscle museum

Oh yes.

Then spotted Gary, what are the chances.

Lukian was ensuring nobody got in his way by lifting up his shirt and exposing his sweaty nipple to all who prevented him reaching the front.

One chick turns around to him and says "you smell like you've pissed yourself"

You're on crack!!

Linkin Park is probably my favourite band, but there is no way in hell they are as good as Muse live.
