For Sale: 1986 Jap Import Nissan 200ZR - RB20DET, 5 Speed, R200 LSD, Targa Top (seals still good, no leaks), Electric windows/mirrors and A/C.

Price and price conditions: $7500 ono

Condition: The car is in pretty bloody good nick for it's age, interior is schmicko as, the engine runs fine and gets decent economy figures. Has never been to the drags or track.

Extra Info

Ive had this car for about 5 years now and it has never given me any trouble. I don't drive it much at all as I commute via train and motorcycle so it hasn't racked up too many kms whilst I have had it. That being said I have kept the maintenance schedule up on it, oil/filter changes have been done every 5000kms.

*Mileage - 160,XXXkms (has 114, XXX kms on the z-sport dash cluster in it atm but I have the original cluster with the original kms on it as well).

*All belts (including timing), oil, oil filter, fuel filter, brake fluid, spark plugs, diff oil and gearbox oil changed less than 600kms ago.

*Rego paid through to Feb 08

Mods

*R33 series 1 turbo - 10 PSI via turbotech bleed

*3" dump pipe, 3" full exhaust, hi-flo cat and old school trust muffler

*MA70 Supra FMIC, stainless, mandrel bent, fibreglass cloth wrapped cooler piping

*Mach 1 GFB BOV

*Bilstein shock and tein springs (low and super stiff), drift pineapples

*Swoosh EL blue backlit boost and oil temp pillar mounted gauges.

*16" Enkeis, heaps of tread left on tyres

*5 Dial SAFC (hasn't been tuned)

*Pod filter

*Oil catch can

*Z-Sport 300km/h dash

*Unknown brand steering wheel, boss kit with Nissan badged horn (I do have the original steering wheel as well)

*Drivers side Recaro, reclining but the bolstering on one side is slightly torn (due to normal wear and tear, was like that when I got it).

*Custom made covers to store the targa tops in the boot

*Small boot spoiler (not ricey at all, compliments the car nicely)

Extras: I have a whole pile of spares to go with the car, including the following:

-Original turbo, was boosting fine before I removed it
-Full loom
-6 x injectors
-CAS
-1 x spare coil pack
-Most original bits and pieces that were removed - steering wheel, air filter assembly etc
-Other bits and pieces I have in the shed for it

Other Info

*Leaky injector - once the car has been sitting warm for 20+ mins it takes a few cranks to get it started. Start it straight after it has been stopped or after sitting overnight and it starts first turn. I have a full set of spare injectors for it, just haven't had the time to swap it out.

*Small power steering leak - couple of drips every now and again form under the power steering rack, I haven't looked into it too closely yet though. Still turns fine, doesn't make strange noises etc.

*Has a couple of paint/body blemishes (the car is 20+ years old and the paint is pretty damn good for it's age) as follows (see pics below as well):

Dent behind passenger door - paint is fine, dent just needs to be pulled out.

Slight paint fade - the paint on the top of the front and rear bumper has faded.

2 small bits of rust - the rear drivers side wheel arch has two small areas of rust.

*Rear passenger side subframe bush needs replacement - Car has a slight knock in the rear over bumps. When the pineapples went in it was noticed that one rear subframe bush needs replacement, not too hard of a job at all I just haven't had the time to do it, car drives fine though.

*A/C belt removed - A/C was working ok before I removed the belt, probably needed a re-gas though (wasn't very cold).

Reason for sale: Missus and I have recently purchased a new car so this one has to go to make room.

This could be a cheap starting point for something different to drift with, an RB25DET should go in without too much hassle (that was going to be my plans in the future).

Still for sale guys, it's taking up valuable space in my garage and isn't being driven so price drop to $7000 ono.

Car will also include the following set of rims/tyres that were on it when I purchased it:

They are 16" with 205 x 55 on the front and 225 x 50 on the rear (all have legal tread but the rears have some camber wear). Not sure on widths though sorry (not cast into the wheels, looks like they were scribed on a plate which the markings have worn off on). A few of them have some gutter rash and one of the rears needs repairs, as can be seen in pics. Would make a good set of track spares though.

Price drop to $6500 - all reasonable offers considered though.

Driving around with the targa tops off is great in summer!

Still for sale peoples, surely someone must be interested in an old school Nissan with heaps of potential?

Alternatively I might be interested in swapping it for a ute of some description (petrol hilux, rodeo, brumby, commodore, falcon etc) to cart the dirt bike round in.

I'm keen to get some mods done on my new car and need this sold to fund it.

Car has been sitting in the garage under a car cover for a few months now (I start it every weekend though) and is taking up much needed space so I'm definitely open to reasonable offers to get it sold.

Will be paying another 6 months rego on the car this week.

My other car needs to be in the garage asap so this car has to go (other car is dark coloured and looks dirty after sitting outside for only a few days). Would also like to get a decent set of rims for the other car.

These are damn rare, but the majority of the parts are interchangeable with R31's (or other Nissans). The rust really isn't that bad, I've kept it garaged since I have owned it, washed it regularly and I treated the rust with rust converter when I got it originally.

Would be a nice first car for someone (all the basic mods have been done) or could be a good starting point for a cheap car for drifting (good timing with the drift season just starting up again).

Price drop to $5500 ono.

Has 6 months of rego on it now.

Really needs to go, getting really sick of having to wash the other car every couple of days due to it sitting outside. Other car also needs some new rims/tyres.

do all the guages work and how deep is that rust?

All of the gauges in the cluster work fine.

All the aftermarket gauges will work, but only the boost one is hooked up at the moment. Both have the back lights hooked up on them though.

The 200zr has an oil temperature gauge in the centre of the dash as standard, but when I got the car it wasn't working (there is a boost gauge alongside it as well, but it reads in bar, I wanted PSI hence why the aftermarket one is installed in the pillar). So I installed the aftermarket oil temperature gauge in the pillar pod and then when servicing the car I noticed that the stock oil temperature sender wire had been damaged, so once I re-soldered that the stock gauge worked fine (hence no need for the aftermarket one). That being said I do have all the wiring and sender for the aftermarket one so it wouldn't be difficult to hook it up if you wanted to.

The rust is fairly minimal, although I obviously haven't chipped it all back. It was on the car when I got it and hasn't progressed much at all (I treated it with rust converter pretty soon after I got the car). For it's age, the body on the car is in pretty good condition really.

Still for sale guys and continues to sit in my garage taking up precious room.

I also need to get a ute so I can transport my dirt bike around, so if someone is interested in swapping their ute for this then give me a shout.

Definitely open to serious, reasonable offers here people as well, it needs to go.
