Just for your interest, 3 cars are off to Sydney for the Drift Nats Rd2 at Oran Park on Sept 3/4.
Entered under the Hyperdrive Motorsport and with some good drivers amongst the 5 driving 3 cars and including Jimmah as part of it, we hope to do good.
Truck leaves tomorrow so wish us luck

Yep, twas awesome and watching the D1 guys live is an experience not to forget :) :)
Mike did a fantastic job in what was an unfamiliar car( not that it was apparent) and his car control is second to none.
The rest of us had various success but watching the jap driving mine doing long, long, loooooooonnnnnggggg entry slides in only his second lap showed just how crap I was :dizzy:
Got a videocd burned of the random footage from Sat including the finals and have it playing at work atm.
Once again, for those that didn't go, you will be forever kicking yourself and to have our W/shop featured prominently was good plus the excitement of watching one of our WA guys bringing the Factory trophy home was a great bonus.
To clear up some confusion, we didn't actually compete against the Japs as they were only there for demo's but Mike and the D1 garage Jap driver went out at the end and Mike was doing bloody well matching his long slides and drift.
Thanks to all the guys and girls who came
Adam
Bangers
Clint( who did a great job of getting the car ready for him and Mike)
Ryan ( Works Autos)
Alan
Erin
Peta
Gav
Jenna
Thanks to our other sponsors who without there help, it wouldn't have happened
AGI auto parts
Premium Corporation
AH Performance
And especially thanks to Mike for doing a top job and getting one of the Hyperdrive sponsored cars home in first place
We WILL return, better armed, better knowledge and now better recognised.
Look out SA in Feb next year for the Drift Nats rd5 :) :)

Congrats to all that went just for putting in the effort to haul ass 4000kms ('ish) just to enter. Well done to driftmike for winning (and Clint for prepping and lending him the car to drive)
Didn't know the rules allowed more than one driver of one car, but obviously its turned out well for the WA guys, as hauling more cars would cost more $$$.
This should get us on the map for a round held here....... (thats not a rumour tj, just something i was hoping for)
Also proving you CAN drift with an RB20 S13 (I hear so much bullshit about upsetting balance from SR20 guys) Catchas

4000km is it, but then we had to get back... :)
Factory class is the car, and anyone except a D1 driver can use it in the competition.
Privateer is the driver and car and only one driver is allowed.
That is one of the reasons why we entered Factory cos 2 of the 3 cars had multiple drivers.
Cheers
Ken
Well done to everyone involved. Video footage please!

Ok well i think its 4000km from Monkey Mia to Brisbane (which is like the widest point) but lets say it was a damn long way, n a damn good effort. thanks for the quick rundown on them rules, i didn't know that. Glad to see we have some rules in place in Australia tho.
