I've just got tein springs with kyb shocks, you can feel the difference, ride is nice and not to harsh. I can take corners a bit quicker with feeling like the car is roll over, haha.

cochee - stiffer springs can stop the car from nose diving when braking

You talking coilovers or springs, coz someone mentioned the EDFC which comes with Tein Coilovers.
I am in the process of installing Tein S-tech springs into my STi atm. The company in Melb keep sending the wrong part (to suit my03 STi not my02!, stupid ass victorians)
I'll let you know what I think when its done. I am aware that the s-tech's drop the car a fair bit... bout 40mm+

ive heard a lot about the tein springs and how noticeable they change the feel of the ride... was considering getting them over the SS coilovers but wanted the height adjustment feature. how know how low the springs drop the car exactly?

i got the coilovers in my r33, the difference was unbelievable after having after market springs in there, the body roll was pretty bad, but with the new coilovers, no bodyroll, suprisingly smooth ride and aesthetically looks low but not too low. cant complain for a whole set for a lil over 1K.
