I am trying to diagnose if i have a blown turbo without having to pull the bastard ceramic heap of crap out just yet. Here are the symptoms:

Very regular boost hesitation (no bangs or undue noise, just a hell of a sucking noise - sounds like it's coming from the pod region). In the mornings it seems to go 'ok' until it warms up then the boost just dies and it feels like a stock NA. It has slowly been getting worse over the last few weeks and now it's at the stage where it's not boosting more than it is boosting.

I checked all my cooler piping, everything seems a-ok. I blocked shut my aftermarket BOV (although i still have the stock one in place). But in all this searching for leaks, one would think it would leak consistently if there were a leak. And like i said - sometimes it boosts for a little while.

just be glad it didnt decide to head into your engine and that rb turbos are cheap as to replace. But as you said, good excuse to upgrade :)

Good news, turbo was not blown. It was the ever so shitty blow off valve which is now replaced :)
