I found this while trying to find out about doing a pre-app in ceiling & wall fixing.

WS65 - CERTIFICATE I IN GENERAL CONSTRUCTION (PRE-APPRENTICESHIP WALL AND CEILING LINING)

Career Opportunities:

Successful completion of this qualification provides you with the opportunity to gain an apprenticeship to become a bricklayer/blocklayer, carpenter and joiner, or painter and decorator, or a traineeship in construction. You will need to be employed and registered as an apprentice/trainee before you can commence.

So to get an apprenticeship i need to do the course,, but to do the course i need an apprenticeship first. Paradox doing my head in

how stupid are they

Probably some experiment done by some philosophy class students... the egg comes before the chicken?

A typo perhaps, or somebody wrote it drunk on a friday arvo? I'd call and confirm.

i go there too...the first day we roked up, we had no lecturer, so we had to go home... In the first 3 weeks we got given four different timetables and in two of the classes we were learning the same thing... some ppl in my class realised at the end of the year that they werent enroled, but yet they had paid the fees...

More on topic most ceiling fixers i know have have not done a trade but just picked it up along the way. onsite training is the best way to go. Give 1 of the larger ceiling comapany a buzz and see if the will give you a shot.
