Take it to your Nissan dealer as you Will need the scan tool to work out whats wrong with it.
I would say the air bag itself is faulty or incorrect.

dunno how decent nissan are but be prepared
airbag light was coming on in my commodore, took it to holden, they plugged it into their computer thing to reset some computer in my car, which fixed the problem and they charged me 170 bux!!
so it could just be a software problem too

Larrydavid, Holden would have just used tech2 to erase the codes, therefore masking the problem. Guaranteed they wouldnt have even opened the bonnet.
With this S15, Airbag itself may be faulty, it may be different, did you have the battery off when changing it? How old is it?
Airbags are strange creatures, but if we knew more i can give you a better idea of whats gone wrong
thanks for the advice.....normally ppl change the ADM to JDM one won't cost any problem. i left my battery connected when i changed mine.so tat's the problem the ECU got faulty msg, so keep flashing. i found the way to solve it already just now.and now the flashing light is gone, i just reset the system by turn on the ignition and press the door open switch 5 times then off ignition, then on again press 5 times the switch, and off again, it will reset the system, frds of mine taught me, i think every nissan cars r the same , if anyone has the same problem just did what i said, it works,
cheers guys

Just to clarify, someone that works for toyota turned the air bag computer upside down with the ignition on, and the computer thought the car was rolling. Set 12 airbags off at a cost of just over 1k each :)
If you havent seen a airbag go off at close range, think again about touching them with batterys connected. They are horrible things to deal with, and id suggest avoiding touching them at all costs.

EDIT: I know its an old thread, but thought its usefull as i know alot of people with S15s with this problem...
to stop the red airbag light flashing in an S15:
Turn car to on (without starting it)
press the door jam button 15 times
quickly turn key off
quickly start the car.
Not sure how it works but it will stop the airbag light flashing! however if you disconnect the battery in the future once its connected again you will need to repeat

or you can go to nissan and buy this little tiny small yellow module that plugs into the plug on the back of the wheel and stops the light,u also use this module when you change to an a/m steering wheel
