no shizzle ?
Joe > Teejay
I'm sizzle for shizzle.
Ice Cube rang me up and said "Hello Joe my huckleberry friend, can you please gain me some access to Metropolis Nightclub on the 31st August? I think i would like to convey some of my thoughts and feelings, including my racially charged ideas and my hatred for law enforcement, to a loving and understanding audience of my african-american fans, and also my fans who wish they were african-american? Also, some african-american look-a-like's who have a bad odour, flat noses and wear cheap and colourful clothing from stores such as Nox and Cali Urban Streetwear?"
SO i said "oooohhh fo sheezy my neeezy, let me sort it out, I put your nizzle on the dizzle and you can razzle to the crizzle for as lizzle as you wizzle"

Nearly $80 to see Ice Cube? Maybe 13 years ago.
Watching "are we there yet?" will give you the same experience for an eight of the price.
I paid zero for my tickets :)

Ahh Joe, Caaarn more info!
what classics were performed?
Suprise Guests?
Okay, I'll start off with some of the stuff that annoyed me slightly.
1. LOTS of indigienous folks, which was expected...some were holding up a big flag during the whole show. As if Ice Cube knew what that was, or even cared :)
2. 2 hour wait to get in, the line was about 500m long. Mainly due to the fact that online sales didnt have paper tickets, you had to give your details at the door and they looked you up on a PC. I had my name at the door but I still had to wait to get in. They really should have had a separate line for online sales, but they didn't.
3. 3 fights, 2 inside at the concert and 1 outside where a guy got kicked in the face and was dropped on the ground pretty hard. All looked brutal, and I cant understand why there are so many crack heads around...thats the only thing I can put it down to.
NOW, the great stuff.
Ice Cube was VERY excited....mainly because he was on the West Coast.
Special Guest: DUB C!!! So, thats 2 out of 3 from Westside Connection. Mack 10 wasn't there, but it was still fucking great. Dub C was fuckin awesome, did a track or two off his new album, I'll be having a listen to it pretty soon because it was awesome.
As for the old schol stuff, he openly proclaimed "I like the new shit, but I LOVE the old school shit".
Off the top of my head, he did:
Straight Outta Compton
Fuck The Police
Check Yo Self
Gangsta Gangsta
Bop Gun
Bow Down
It Was A Good Day
Straight 2 Church
Why We Thugs
Smoke Some Weed
The Streets
Gangsta's Make The World Go Round
He is a great performer...really gets into his songs, lots of crowd interaction and his drops were second to none.
Best part of the night was Dub C's crip walk in Gangsta's Make The World Go Round, and I'd say the best track of the night was the NWA medley, and Bow Down.
