seems like a good idea, give them a car that can actually handle so they dont keep driving into parked cars in a chase. Now they just need some driver training LOL

All that a coon in a stolen VN gotta do is to ram it off the road, easy... 1.4 ton > 0.8 ton

they should buy IS300s.. then they could catch anything :D
On a more serious note, I dont think tax payers will appreciate the cops to buy $150k cars to catch hoons. I am sure the public would insist that the money be invested elsewhere in the "strapped for cash" police force.

If they want to relate to the common hoon shouldnt they buy a VL Turbs with a dose pipe, chop the springs and try and race anything that moves??

The bloody thing is stationed at Bankstown. The locals wouldn't even know what it was unless they put Tempe-spec 22s on it. Stolen ones, naturally.

blah blah blah i wonder how they fit all their gear in the damn thing. cant go chasing hoons with one policeman in the car and his utility belt on the passengar seat. by the time the big fela gets out and goes to make the arrest they could of gone for a brisk run!
Its more of a PR experiment, to get the older cops in touch with Generation Y. You reckon we are idiots on the road the action they get to see is far worse then whatever we are accused of doing.

150k price tag is with full options + clapped out colour choice. No car at that price should be chickening down the road its a disgrace... fondly enough most of them are open wingers'.having said that that they handle better as lsd creates intial understeer on turn in although if you can find understeer your a better man then me.
