I got F1, Rainbox six vegas (very cool looking) and Blazing angels (i like planes, and i wanted something for the six axis control)

Big ones im waiting for - Grand theft auto (map is an EXACT replica of New york city), GT5 and colin mcrae dirt will all be good value...

yeah ive got one, mainly into sport n driving games. waiting for the likes of the EA Sports Range and Gran Turismo 5, GTA 4 looks sweet too.

downloaded a few demos, got the F1 demo, talk about realistic, put on heavy rain you cant see a metre in front, take off the brake and steering assitance and it is soo dam realistic, good fun also.

F1 is FKN good, ive played hours n hours on that game. Very realistic, ive had more than one person say is this the game, looks real. Sure you'll spend some time on that if your into f1. I want a newer version so the drivers etc are at the right teams etc! lol
Resistance is a fkn good game! Game play is awsome, not as good in the graphics as gears of war on 360 but it is a 1st gen game.
GTA4 i have already pre-ordered, nuff said bout that.
GT5 will shit on forza 2, will be miles ahead of forza 2, maybe forza 3 might compete lol. Cant fkn wait for that game. Niva dun be a noob, go back to ur 360 n have fun wen it shits itself n they dun cover ur warranty coz it WILL happen. Don't think ive seen a single 360 not fail.. plus it doesn't even have HD dvd to compete with the blue ray in ps3, u have to buy an add on, games are normal dvd so if they release the same games they will always be better on ps3! Blue-ray > Dvd, you'd know this if you've seen it.

Also microsoft are NOT helpful with their warranties, which is understandable because if they did all their warranties for over-heating etc they would loose too much $ and go backwards major time. Bro's system was 7-8 months old and they said sorry it must not of been in an area that was well ventelated even though it was... meh

Dude, make sure you get a true HD one (1920 x 1080 res), rather than a normal HD, there is a huge difference in detail and quality :boink:

Depends what you play through it. DVDs and digtal HD tv, fuck all difference. Proper true HD signal like PS3 and blueray movies, big difference :wave:

Im goin to proove im weak.. i play with ABS on and obviously varey the traction control settings with tire wear/diff tracks etc even though i play on short racin time its all scaled. Fuck the turning/braking assists etc though, those are crap n i never tried with them on lol I found playing with the gearbox settings/handling settings means you can win on hard, otherwise if you leave it as it starts with balanced everythin you get chopped haha Markers make life alot easier aswell for tracks you don't know very well, otherwise it can be really difficult. Play career on hard, thats the best! You won't win straight up but you advance slowly n i ended up with Ferrari and won but it took awhile hehe. Limiter launches hurt the motor but work well with high traction control on, it won't be as good as if u get the accel perfect when it hits green, but it gaurentee's a good launch..

Also play in wet with dry tyres and traction control on 5%, doriftooooooo, its hard to get a drift right though, you spin pretty easily :P

F1 runs on 720p, we have 4 tele's in the house that do 1080i but not 1080p, there is a difference but only if the tv's specs are exactly matched (size/contrast ratio's blah blah) otherwise you can't compare properly.. Any form of HD even at 720p SHITs on normal tele. F1 looks sooooo good and has awsome sound too.

Yeah its an awesome debut f1 game for the ps3, waiting for a more tweaked refined one to come out as that one is from last season, waiting for the new one with correct drivers and teams, also will give em a chance to improve on the graphics and that which were alreayd awesome, but yeah beign a debut game they usually dont use the full potential.

buying a 360 plus the hd attatchement is still cheaper than a ps3. only a certain batch of 360s has faulty power supplys and another batch had weak solders on the gpu. head over to ps3 forums for a complete
list of faults with the ps3. ( my xbox failed, they sent me a new one. transfared all my old data onto the new hdd and sent me a free wirless controller for my troubles)


lets not forget the cell cpu's the ps3 uses. wich NOBODY has any fricken idea on how to code for so its gonna be a long time before you see any games pushing the hardware. unlike m$ console were we see games like gears of war within weeks of the console launch.

Forza motorsport has fuck all on Gran Turismo.

There are more tracks \ more cars \ more tuning options in Gran Turismo. Second of all the Ps3 rapes the xbox 360 in every specification hence the xbox 360 is cheaper.

I never had a problem with any of my playstations and i am yet to hear of any of my mates PS3's failing.

Only thing I dont really like about GT5 is the fact it has no damage.. I have loved all the GT's Ive completed all of them.. However I have always been disappointed at the lack of damage... I know this isnt a fault of the console but it fucking miffs me why with all the advances in tech why they don't add damage to the new GT...

Yep, had my 360 for more than a year now(never had a single problem) and have had a hd player for a few months, fucking rocks, have a few dozen HD dvds and its unreal. If you already have a 360, its less than $250 for the HD player (which comes with another remote and KING KONG HD dvd). Youd be crazy not to buy it. Just so you know, it will plug into a PC as well provided you have Vista.

The PS3 is nearly 2 years newer than the 360, and is nearly 40% more money, it should damn well be a shit load better!! jeez its like comparing a computer from 2 years ago to one that just came out!! if it was even close sony should be ashamed of themselves. (and since i have never played a PS3, i cant say how much better it is...)

And HD dvd is leading the format war internationally, its a close race, but also if you read up a little, neither blu ray or HD have confirmed the final storage amounts, but the difference does swing in blu ray's direction. Total HD is also looming(a disc that can be played on either format!), as well as combo players that will play both HD and Blu-ray, which will probably render the format war useless :)

I hardly use the 360 for games, so i am more interested in the format war for the movies. Since it only cost me $200 for the HD player, i only lose 200 IF HD loses in the long run (again, close race, but currently 200 well spent). IF Blu ray loses? Anyone who has one better hope they love the games other wise 1k down the drain!

HD currently has the same amount of Bluray titles, you just gotta search internationally. Ezydvd and sanity sell both formats online(ezydvd at carousel has a wall dedicated to both formats) with a hundred titles each, but hop onto amazon and you will see how many each have. HD is also NOT region locked at all, so no problems buying internationally, but guess what...Bluray is region coded.

Anyway..off to watch the last of the Ultimate Matrix on HD...:werd:

Exactly it is newer but its not there fault as xbox could of held off with there console and awaited the PS3. They easily have the monopoly at the moment but give it a few years and the PS3 will be ahead of Xbox 360.

Yeah, standing within a metre of two decent HD lcds, one 1080i and one 1080p, yeah you can notice a difference. from about 2 metres or so you can barely tell. (my sony 55' is only 1080i..but i bought it cos it was about a third the cost of a similar size 1080p, and the difference wasnt worth it).
