i have seen a few cars this drag season using the mt street ets and was wondering what most ppl think of them?..

Or would you stay with the good old slick & front runner combo?

ive heard some good things about the mt et's.. mainly you dont have to spend stupids amount of money buying front runners as you do when you by slicks..

also they hook up fairly well as well once u get some heat into em.

Having tried both back to back can tell you a few things.

The pure drag radials are better, they are faster and much more consistant.
They also create less stress on the driveline.

That said the et street radials are almost as good.

The suspension setups between the two need to be very different as well.

The radials offer no shock absorbtion so have a much greater chance of snapping axles and other things in the driveline. So you also need your rear sus to give a little.

With the radials you can run times from 11.3 to 13.0 back to back if you were on slicks it would be more like 11.1 to 11.7 kinda of variance.

End of the day depends what you want, street time or as fast as the car can go time.

What does make me laugh though is these people with un-licenced/yellow stickered / yet to be complied cars running on street radials.

IT HAS TO BE LIC TO COUNT AS A STREET CAR TIME !!!!

depends if u include a car that was a dead stock daily driver at one stage but is now a full blown drag car spec but the owner never drives it on road yet kept paying rego on it..

Yer thats an area I have yet to figure out. Thats probably a whole topic on its own !!

A car with no rego though is clearly not a street car.

do you consider a b class regod car a 'street' car? still has state plates.
