Drift - Practice Day 28 August 2004

ok ppl... a few others have asked and this is what i found out.. they are having a track / club open day. we can get out there...

here go's:

COLLIE MOTOR PLEX

28th August 2004
Time: 10am @ Collie !!!

Drivers: $25
Passengers: $25 (sorry guys this will be the standard fee as all prices have gone up)

Drags, Sprints and Drifting will be held on the day.

Safety is high on the issues list.....

They WILL be cracking down on safety this time.... and for all future events. YOU MUST have your window completly up when your out on track. This is a must and they will be inforcing this on the day.

If you are seen to have your window down they will pull you in and you will go to the end of the line. This is the first warning and they will remind you on the day.

they will have the burnouts on the pad again.

The normal stuff is needed:

Safety Approved Helmut
Long Sleeve Shirts (cotton preferred as nylon melts and burns like hell)
Long pants
Covered over shoes
Fire Extingusher (mounted by a metal holder)

The above listed items are a must for the day.

If you need to know anything else gimme a tinkle.....

happening this weekend. hope everyone who is entering has their shit sorted.

Which makes no sense really.... who wants to drag in the wet when you can build up your confidence with low speed drift in the wet? :)

Also Pete, do you have any contact details for the peeps down in collie. I want to find out for sure if I can drive the Cefi.

UPDATE::

The track dudes are having a piss up at the track on saturday night and ppl are welcome to stay over night so u dont drive back.

Its all still on spoke to the dude today and for those cars who's arent licenced yet :re jai, ur cars can still go out on the track.

Looks like not many burnout cars are going down and the drags might be called off due to rain so plenty of time for drifting.

Please arrive by 10am and ready for track at 11am.
