Picked her up Tuesday, bog stocker for this week besides a perrin silicone intake and antilag sticker of course, only 30xxxkms on the clock, not bad for an 02.

Very very clean car, few mods planned, hopefully a few of them on next week. (Coilovers, TBE, Fuel Pump, FMIC (possibly) and a Verso tune.

With the tune ill be looking at about 280 hp atw, so hopefully ill pull a high 12, if not a very low 13

Car launches quite nice, just have to sort out the rev limit on 4th, as the gears are a little shorter due to the 6 speed.

Absolutely, the RE55's will give you the best times in the dry.

You have to admit though, they SUCK on the street. Noisy, tramline, and wear out VERY quickly.


IMO:

Track - RE55 (Pricey)
Street/Track - Toyo R888 (Very Pricey)
Street - Federal 595RS (Relatively Cheap)


So Thodd, it's either buy another set of rims and put RE55's on them, or replace your current tyres and make a compromise.

I've had good experience with the Federal 595SS's, but haven't tried the Nexan 3000's.

Nexen 3000 are by no means a time attack tyre. I use them on my GTR for no other reason other than to not wear my R-Comps out.

They are very cheap, do massive K's, are not too bad in the wet and handle on the Road/Track above your expectations. For around $120 a corner how can you complain. I have done nearly 100,000 km on a set of these and they are still going strong.

I believe the re55's have track records for no-limits as they warm up very quick, and you dont do a huge number of laps in a row at no-limits (by no means a bad thing).

They are very very good. unfortunately they do not make them in a configuration for the orange. So there goes that idea. D03s will be next.
