the best DJ the world has ever seen, better than mixmaster mike.
saw him in perth at monkeybar...when he did a set with NO mixer on one table..uve never seen something so impressive.
that beat is so fukn dope as well...this is better than the stuff on the Shiggar Fragger comps....
thanks for that lyndon - those that spread the Art go straight to heaven in mybooks..
PS: that whole set was just ACHING to have a verse busted over it..

Thats a pretty awesome video. There's quite a few more on youtube, keep digging.
Im sure you've seen scratch Lyndon? If you havent, find it and watch it immediately. Great look into everything scratching and mixing and shit like that. Most of the big names are there as well as people that have been in the game for some time.

i remember when they played Scratch at Monkeybar as a pre-set before Qbert...that was such a night to remember...watching it on the big screen at the club just off me pickle. word.
i love the QBert Shadow Camel Bobsled mix set as well.
also - check out ALL the Unkle Sets...Do Androids Dream of Electric Beats? Big Brother is WAtching 1 & 2 - and Exit Music for a Film..amazing mixes....
ill never forget a qbert show he did at metros some time back, and it seemed like he just happened to drop some quicker stuf over the hiphop track and the way he mucked the fader gave it a dnb feel. the crowd went yeah! he stops everything and says "ohh, so perth likes drum and bass.." then proceeds to mix 2x hip hop over each other at quick time so it had a dnb feel for a couple songs! incredible. i still got the 'hello my name is Qbert" signed sticker from that night.
i remember when they played Scratch at Monkeybar as a pre-set before Qbert.......
btw monkey bar is now 'capital'..
spirit sound bar is now 'tiger lils'
and your mum is now 'your dad'

Q-Bert World Tour DVD - Seoull Set... grittiest juggling... his asian sets just blew me away, especially tokyo.
Krush - (Hideaki Ishii?), ive had 'Zen' playing consistently from when i picked up his album a month or so ago, a few real downbeat tracks but theres some fkn gems, one in particular (track 9? methinks) with a Japanese MC, fkn brilliant.
trying to get more Krush, wading through alot of his progressive downbeat stuff atm, struggling to find some of the grittier sounding work.
Remix? Brendan? can you give me some names of your fav albums? he's got alot too wade through.

Meiso, Milight, Jaku, Message at the Depths for starters - look ive got all the Krush albums and they are all insane..just get em all bro
the best track hes done is the one with shadow - the one wit hthe sample "And DJ Krush is the producer" with some hardcore rapping on it.
also if you havent got classics such as DJ Shadow - ENdtroducing, Pre Emptive Strike, Private Press - u need those
also as said earlier - get ALL the Unkle sets...all are insane i listed them a few posts above dude.
Also - whilst were promoting - New Clandestien - Chasms of the Citadel - sick, raw, epic.
also - RJd2 - hes NUTS - hes got 2 major releases both of which are just insane...like really really of its nuts man.

excellent, will look those up, legend.
i have a little shadow, but like most of my collection, im only just scratching the surface, going on about 80albums now, purchased and ordered (dont burn my essentials) i keep finding something ive 'got' to have, just starting to get over aother brooklyn stint, Mr K-lash is bringing my listening back to the UK for new sounds, any UK labels that have caught your attention of late? im struggling to get onto decent labels, havent had access to the net at home for the last 8 months, so its kinda frustrating.
Yeh got some Unkle and scratch perverts, live set, opens with the Star wars sample? fkn primo. will have to check that other work out.
last Clandestein i listened too was 02 - 03 i think, after i had a good run with thier earlier stuff in late 2000. will have to give the new a shot, they've always had that epic sound, which helps bring them above bar in AU, keen to hear if they could possibly get more raw :P
RJD2, the third hand? some promo's you've given in the past pulled through nicely so i'll def have to spare some listening for his work.
ive been spending most of my last months wages on old WU, EPMD, slick rick, rakim and eric b, suprisingly busta pulled through on a few tracks with genisis which i never gave a shot, slum vill, tribe and a bit of Madlib/MF Doom... trying to build the foundations of my essentials atm, alot of classics i dont have, so i would share some new sounds but i haven't come accross any rarities that would be news to you.
might be time for another hip-hop thread, alot of the promo's you've given have turned out gems, i'd be keen to see if i can provide anything decent you havent come accross haha

Immortal Technique, early Onyx, Gravediggaz, Klashnekoff - The Sagas Of, Plan B (i dont like him, u might) Jehst, Braintax, The White Shadow of Norway, Taskforce (new Mic Order), Jedi MInd Tricks, Skinnyman, Non Phixion...
these should give u both ur UK and general HIPHOP Fix.
support the art!
yeah unkle starts off with starwars/fox music promo..that one is SICK but there are 4 mixes and i listeed them above...absolutely mind blowing..giving me goosenumps now thinking about it.

Dude in terms of old wu - get all first gen - like solos, 36 chambers from all artists - second gen get T2 Judgement Day, Supreme Clientele from GhostFace Killah and GZA: beneath the surface..to be honest after wu forever and those 2nd gen wutanf they are all pretty bollocks - Iron Flag and the W are quite cool tho. Rza's albums are just awful.
U should get into Horrorcore..its the best of the hiphop movement i reckon - Gravediggaz, some onyx, The Society of Invisibles....some epic stuff.
If you havent got Non Phixions album u need to - life changing stuff. also Ill bill etc.
jedi mind tricks - i personally think their new drop "Servants in Heaven, Kings in Hell" is the best one, even better than psycho social.
u also will like Jus Allah - All Fates Have Changed.
and yeah as i said for UK - Jehst, Braintax, Skinnyman, Taskforce.
i also like 7L & Esoteric and Slug n Ant (Atmosphere)
u find me an MC with a better flow than Slug and ill suck your dick. and no syncope Q-Tip doesnt count - hes overrated garbage and you know it.
