just go to any place with a dyno, chuck em $80 and get a full dyno power run with AFR's boot levels etc etc, instead of a dyno day with a number and a graph but nothing to see how the motors going.

Most decent places will do it at least against an AFR run, so it is worthwhile. We're just cheapskates...

The Silvia S15 car club are running a dyno day at Hyperdrive this Saturday ( 17/3 ) at $45 . We will give you a hp/KMH/air fuel reading and if it's boosted we can print out a boost/HP chart at the end of the day.

I don't think they will mind if you tag along.

cool, will try and make it..have to work the morning tho :(

Mine needs a full retune, so i just wanted to get a base figure as cheap as possible with just an AFR and maybe boost.

Adam , you will have to wait till the end of the day. Setting up the gear chart takes a bit of dicking around and I told the S15 they wouldn't be getting it for the dyno day.

I expect we will be still running around 2pm but ring the workshop around that time and I will advise

yeh was good...even the snags were good

never seen so many s15's run lean at the exact same rpm. seriously 2 thirds of them sean had to back off and restart the runs at 4500rpm because of some freaky det/lean out in the midrange.

Adam , I have gotta say , that thing is damned impressive for stock internals and stock manifold . Get that intake pipe fixed , get Mick ( or Shaun ) to retune it a little leaner and that thing will go 400 I reckon. Must be a scary ride when it finally comes on boost....

Not quite 2/3rds but certainly a few. 3 of the first 4 we ran all went lean as they come into boost. Shaun and I were looking at each other and double checking to make sure we hadn't cocked any of the dyno settings up. Only when a previously tuned by Hyperdrive one came on and the a/f's were good did we relax.

Shows that even a 3-5 year old car with the boost wound up can scare the fuel pump into submission...
