VL (RB30) to RB20 conversion

Hey guys i got a vl with a rb30 in it and was lookin at wackin in an rb20. i was just wondering if there was any significant details i should know about before attempting EG. are there many major mods that i need to be done

i thought it was a straight drop...even with ECU at - u will need a tacho tho im guessing...go the RB20 man...or a 25Neo if u can :P

Yer thats what i thort aswell.. shouldnt be too hard.
A mate of mine is importing me one from japan with frontmount cooler, havnt got a price yet tho.. he got a rb26dett i think it was for 2000 so im hoping for a good price aye.

need a front mount, coz stock wont fit, pod filter and also new exhaust. yes u need an aftermarket tacho coz the boong VL only reads to like 7K or something, i think a RB20 redlines at that! need to use the RB20 ecu n wiring too.

I did this conversion in my VL, was good fun :-)

I was lookin at the same conversion but in an R31, does anyone know of places that do the motor conversion in W.A ??

The 31 rb20 conversion is straight forward theres plenty of places people who can do this

plus also if you ask him he'd you can pay for his time to take it over the pits and get it all licensed if you work full time...
