Anyone watch? Thoughts on Seven’s coverage thus far???....Actually a lot better than I thought it’d be.
Kelly win race 1, Lowndes dog unlucky again drive through penalty.

Yeah watching and viewing on the net.
Pretty happy with the coverage except for the fact they have missed about 7 passing moves then we see if about 10mins later :(
Other than that very happy..... Crompo's voice makes it alot more familar tho!
How good do the HRT cars look!
And notice the BF's kinda have pumped guards now?? Is it just me, or have they always looked like that? They have that similar buldge that the VEs have...just alot less pumped.
There has been changes in the off season, the BFs now run a different gaurd.

Coverage of the race was good
Some of those montage intro scenes 7 did were pretty cool
They seemed to show more of the other classes than 10
Some of 7's new commentators (cant remember they two names... ones been on sunrise) were abit nowhere "they've taken this car away over night and really tinkered with it" was one example of the insight he offered
Grant Denyer sucks a big one
VE makes a tuff lookin supercar
still prefer 10
channel 7 were too excited they got the coverage and mentioned it about 600 times

I think the falcons looks wicked.
Also is it just me or did a few drivers whinge about the handling conditions of the VE commo ?
They looked very unstable in a few of the corners.

Good tho to see both Jim Beam cars to be up in the top 10 in race 2... hopefully be a good year for DJR.
After watching rd1, this should be a great season!!
Adrenalin - a few were having issues, but its still a brand new car with fark all decent time for testing..... they are going to have some issues.
But to have a brand new car (yes the drivetrain is the same) that still needs fine tuning to win both races....you cant really complain about that. :werd:

A couple of fast lap times tho doesnt win the race...as proved this weekend, but your right theres no hiding the fact that ford did post the fastest lap times. Courtney was definately a star out there, and to end up 3rd after that horrid start. His driving this weekend was awsome!

Sucks to be those that are outside the top 15! Start the 2nd race in 27th and you kinda think....whats the point!
*NB* I dunno if its just my tv, but it seemed like channel 7 have made the commentary quieter than the sounds of the cars??? Good shit if thats the case!

what gets me is how can the winner for the weekend who had a 4th place and a 1st place and only be second in points for the weekend be crowned the winner ?
damn prick kelly still a retard his brother is a lot nicer person who desrved to be the winner

i was really impressed by 7s coverage of the event! i hope the rest of the season is this good, the only thing that shit me was the ads within the show like 7 do with the tennis and stuff before the racing began.

DJR look like they are on the right track, which is awesome, as ive always been a supporter. The Vodafone cars look hot as, and certainly will be quick this year.
As for the "stunning" performance of the VE - its the same car as last year for all purposes, so its not that special.
Love the new scoring system - you HAVE to race.
Still undecided on 7's commentry.

some had the standard guards flared previously, but now it's a part of the spec, because of the VE, and they're plastic, as shown by all the ones that got broken in crashes on the w/e.
Going to save them a fair whack of money, which is a good thing :)
ve's guards are too overdone at the front, imo, its got a FWD look about it..

If holden wins, you need to do the same.....but go into every holden dealership and ask if they have any XF 4ltrs to buy, GHIA spec but must come with a VB 6pack!

Lowndes tried to do the dirty tactic's this year against tander in race 3! Being "peoples champion" must not have been a worth while achievement last year for Team vodafone :lol:
sif mate, Lowndes had heaps of oppuortunties to punt tander off ala what rick kelly did last year, but he didnt. Least whincup didnt go straight to his trailer and have a fukn sook. Go Lowndes.:P

haha Watch both replays....
06 - love tap from behind, half a second then lowndesy locks up an takes out todd
07 - Lowndes barges through the inside on a corner and pushes tander off the track..
Had tander not got back on the track and kept 4th..then there would be a huge shitfight..but he stayed on and ended up winning overall. The only reason they didnt persue it.
Next the ford brigade will whinge that todd held up wincup in the last race or complain about tander and skaife in the 1st race.
Will be a awsome season in 08... wincup has it in the bag if his car stays good. Definately a awsome guy and driver.
