I just recently bought a SAFC 2 s/h.

Wire it all up as descirbed in the manual. (yes i double / triple checked everything) downloaded from apexi.

Fire up the ignition and the SAFC does the usual splash screen I have seen.

Then it goes to a "Dec.Air" screen where there is throttle / EN1 / En2

There appears to be no way to get of this screen. Played with all the button options and stuck on this screen. You can scroll up / down but not change any of the values.

I tried holding in the centre button when i turn it on and it takes me to like a sensor check screen. Then clicking the button again it goes all fuzzy and just dots come up.

I had RROB look at it as I have not had any experience with SAFC's, he couldn't get out of the screen either and pretty much says its stuffed.

Getting to the sensor screen prooves the button is working.

So I am pretty confident its F*cked.

Any one got any magic way to reset these units when you don't have access to the menu ??

Anyone seen anything like this ???

Its as simple as that - theres no reset button, and its obviously got some sort of issue... maybe an electronics person can check it but its not really worth the freight back to apexi is it?

freight on small things to Jap is pretty cheap. I don't think apexi would wanna know but ... lol

As they don't sell these any more kinda keen to try and get it going.

Often electronic items have hidden or tech only resets. Someone might know if Safc's do.

you could give it to a very bored computer programmer to nut it out but who knows if that will resolve it.

How easy is it to wire in, test it on another car perhaps? or borrow someone elses unit and try attaching it up to your wiring, or vice versa, plug yours into someone elses car (the unit itself). Thats a good place to start, cross-reference.

But hey, don't listen to me, i'm crap with electronics :) it took me 45mins to find out i had blown a fuse while installing my stereo.

Yer thats a good idea, need to find someone who has one in a car working.
That will sign of whether its 100 % stuffed or not.
