hey guys can anyone tell me when fitting and fmic on a 33 if the fan blades need to be cut because i tried to line the piping up just to have a look and it seems that the blades will hit the piping???? apparently people on Skyaus wrekon that you do but i dunno..

Yeah you do if you use a china cooler kit.
just cut the corners off . it wont harm it at all.
Suppose you could just trim the corners neatly with a pair of cutters Matt? Or modify that bracket that bolts on near the cam belt cover so the pipe sits higher...

yeh but if it sits any higher i wont be able to close boot lol

this idea might sound silly but iv heard of a few people sticking sand paper to the cooler pipe with double stick tape, when the fan spins it sands the blade away lol
That actually sounds like a constructive idea lol, some nice rough sand paper...let fan rub down just enough till it clears pipe?!
DONT CUT blades!!!! buy a longer silcon hose to raise the pipe thats what i did if you want pics let me know
you CAN get away without trimming the blades (even on a chinese kit). It is just a little bit more fiddly.
just make sure everytime you take off the cross over pipe that you check the clearance of the clutch fan before you start the car.. or it's byebye clutch fan!!!!
