View Full Version : Extreem tyre wear
After installing a set of Tein HA coilovers on my soarer, I have noticed extreem wear on my front tyres over the last 6 months. Both front tyres have the insides worn right down to the metal and one has already blown due to this. Both rear tyres are still good. What could have caused this? What can i do to keep it from happening to the new tyres i put on?

camber, lots of negative camber would be the cause.
it must be pretty slammed. need to adjust the camber, either with some camber arms of camber tops on the coilovers.
Yeh its pretty low. Would it be expensive to adjust camber? or would raising it up to stock height solve the problem?

stock height would relieve camber, but look quite homos3xual too.
what coilovers u got? are they camber adjustable on the tops?
I have Tein HA coilovers. Not sure if camber adjustable. I think just height adjustable.

Take it to a good wheel/tyre workshop and give them the settings you want and they'll adjust it. If there is still quite a bit of camber, you can get lower control arm offset bushes for Soarers.
Here are the standard wheel alignment settings for Soarers:

did you even wheel align it after puting the coilies in??
any suspension hieght change requires an allignment as hieght changes camber wich in turn affects toe. al of this equals farked tyres if not adjusted.
wheel alignment machines have specs from factory pre programmed.
Or bring it to me and ill set it up to specs thatll save as much of your tyres as I can, however a camber kit is a must.

im not sure of designof soarer suspesnion...but
if it has double wishbone then its better to get adjustable arms for camber
if it has macpherson like fronts of silvias then camber top plates for camber.....

you need adjustable upper arms to fix the camber on a soarer
