would a 1uzfe from a crown be a legal swap in to a mx83 cressida.

with a previuos swap of mine all that was required was that the engine must be newer than the build date of the car and cannot be smaller in capacity.

all help on this topic would be much appreciated.

I would say yes,but the only way sure would be to contact the right dpi,and get a modification approval in principle.Taht will tell you what you need to do to get it approved.eg brake tests/engineers approval, emissions etc.

Mine was aprroved for a vl commodore but it also came from the factory with a 5ltr/turbo and awsome brakes from factory.

yeah it shouldnt be more than just a change of engine number registration,
after lookin at the build date of the car compared to motor in there, they were both built in the same year.
i will check to see if that is ok or the motor has to be newer than the build date of the car.

brake upgrade will be the first thing on the list.

5Ltr + turbo eh? choppy?

sorry meant either a 5ltr or the rb30et,not both combined.Mine was aproved in principal for the 1uz-fe conversion, hopefully with turbo latter on.
