so what security came - you simply go to them say we are not here to cause shit we will be gone in 20 minutes. they will say no worries and leave

the amount of retard drivers doinhg fucked up shit was phenomenal - reatards everywhere i looked cutting off tailgating doing burnouts at meet points etc etc

we where nearly rammed off the road by someone avoiding a head on
while in another car, we where nearly sideswiped off tonkin hwy
then had someone cut in front of us while braking for lights

god knows why, but 90% of the ppl tonight where utter fuckheads - i got told the same by nearly everyone who we talked to - that was when we wernt leaving a meet point after 5 minutes etc

I didnt go on the cruise, but a group of about 4-5 cars came down the freeway south, just out of perth as i was on my way home. all i can say is, you are fucking lucky i didnt think to get your plates ( i was swerving off the god damn road avoiding collision) if i had your plates, i know where i'd be going with them. we dont need dickheads like that on the roads.

The freeway was BUSY, i was overtaking a car, and these cars came screaming up behind us and went in to the emergancy lane, then were going in between the 3 lanes(2 normal lanes and the emergancy) cutting across continuously not staying in a lane for more than a second and no indicating. at one stage i saw a hyundai excel with no where to go and had to drive right in the middle of the freeway. they also went past our cars so fast (i was speeding) that Nigel was in the passenger seat basically passed out and very very asleep,and he jumped and woke up, agreeing on your stupdity.

thats just plain stupid. dont risk other peoples lives to look like some "cool" person, because you were totally under that.

but yeh.. and hope there is an improvement next time? huh! we have had many cruises and have never had comments in the negative. have always had safe and fun cruises.. as for the cops.... what do u think would happen if everyone ran? they would have chased us... since we were in a straight line we were fine.... and we didnt act a fool and get done... as far as i know there was no yellows handed out and no one arrested..

except for the minor bingle on tonkin i would say it was a great cruise.

for all those who have issues regarding the tailgating or what ever... speak to those involved.

One, I don't know why everybody left early. The time WAS changed about 2 days (I think) in advance of the cruise so boohoo if you didn't recheck.
Obviously, some of those who attended decided to announce when we were leaving, and thus took off just after we handed out the maps.. TA guys.
Secondly, we aren't fans of standing around at meetpoints for 20 odd minutes ok? We own cars. We create cruises. To drive. Not stand about gazing at the stars and kissing each others frozen butts.
Interesting how the forum's member's opinions all differ. This is the first and only forum brought to my attention that reckon the cruise was a complete disaster. Funny how it all stemmed from one person's giant whinge post. What are you, sheep? True, I and a few others stayed at the head of the cruise - to help lead it and to stay away from the slow/less experienced that trail towards the rear, so perhaps I missed all of these terrible atrocities that took place. You aren't supposed to do burnouts at meetpoints, but people do. Let them get reamed for doing so if the cops show up. Get over it. It wasn't an official Antilag cruise. Thankyou for allowing us to stick the thread on here but we won't be doing so in future.
As Peta stated, it's a well-known fact our cruises aren't for the faint hearted and we try to tell people as such, but as noted here, many people fail to think for themselves and rock up anyway, thinking they're King Dick.
Prime example is in the SAU thread about our cruise were we asked a certain member NOT to use the cruise to rack up P plater hours.
You drive at your own risk, cruise or no cruise.
You attend at your own risk.
No doubt you'll all get wind of the next open cruise, Perth being so inescapably small and all, but from now on we'll probably start heading in the direction of Invite-Only.
Not only will that solve some of the crazy driving problems but those who believe they're God's Gift to Perth's Car Scene won't have any fuel to bag out these future cruises.

1 - im one person - im not antilag - please keep that fact seperate - if you want to attack me over my comments then please feel free too - i stand by them regardless. if you where sitting where i was during the course of the night, then i believe you would find my comments justified - i know there is an element of people on the cruise who could drive - however there was a much bigger element of people who obviously had no idea either. the driving wasnt "hardcore" as some ppl like to quote - it was pathetic and dangerous - and im sure that both you peta and lauren both know ive been on a fair share of cruises with ppl who drove fucking hard. you can deny it if you like but it will just show that your not looking at this with an open viewpoint.

2- look at that again before you crack the shits anyone who reads it - its not bagging anyone - its bagging the driving of some ppl on the cruise. if i had a complaint about meet points leaving too soon and cruise leaving early - its a minor niggle , and since it isnt a cruise organised by me i spose tough shit then. but to be fair you have to remember just because you got there first and have been sitting around for 10 minutes doesnt mean the guy who has just pulled in at the back of the pack has. fair statement? i think so

3 - if you have never had comments in the negative about previous cruises, i think youll find this is the first time then - there is some here, there is some on silwa also , dont believe me? scroll up. there has been alot said to me in person too. for some bizarre reason ppl are scared to have say as they feel - i am not. as its the first time also perhaps it is saying something? maybe im not a loony with a single opinion of fallacy ? to quote some guy of silwa "my mate hit the brakes at 170 then hit the other car" a) 170 is not a minor bingle b) it was an innocent family involved. he also says his mate didnt see the car up ahead - if you cant see a car on the road you clearly need either glasses or a removal of your drivers license. just a little proof to back up what i was saying - once again not an attack on you in any way, but a answer to a comment you made. you didnt have the accident, you didnt ask for him to have the accident, but it did happen.

perhaps an idea, and its something ive considered, is to make all ppl who attend to have a cb radio - lack of communication is what causes alot of crap on cruises. if they are serious about cruising they would have one already, if they dont but want to be serious cruisers they would get one, if they are posers well.... problem solved.

4- peta you say every cruise is what you make of it yourself - thats bs - we didnt ask for the fool in the ____ car to attempt to swipe us off the road as he was overtaking around a blind corner only to find a person coming the other way - with a multitude of cars on the road they affect it more then you do yourself. same deal with the guy in the ____ on tonkin who simply proceded to change langes as we sat next to him , lucky for the reflexes of the driver or we would have collided. the funny thing was it wasnt even at high speed, it was at around 90kmh , id hate to have thought what would have happened at a higher speed.

5 - i would no doubt come on another cruise - anyone who knows me knows that i love cruising and driving hard. this is what your cruise should have been about - dont think that i dont know this - it just didnt happen to end up like this from my point of view, and obviously a few other peoples. its funny those who where petty enough to make smart arse comments wernt even on the cruise ....... im sure they have all the facts they needed to have before making comment on what i had said.... thanks tara andrew et all but you go shoosh now. ill await some other uneducated nonsensical reply shall i ?

lots of pple tie themselves in knots in this .. debate. they refer to the cruise as being shit then say they only mean the drivers .. so why even talk about it in reference to the cruise? the cruise was simply the arena in which the drivers were able to do their acts.

stupid drivers dont affect the cruise itself just they are acting stupidly and dangerously to the people around them at the time. if your simply trying to comment on those drivers theres no real need to frame it within the cruise context unless u use it simply to state when it happened and thats all.

and the fact pple seem afraid to speak out that they didnt like the cruise or whatever, thats stupid too i mean there is no need to say that anyway and they probably dont say it coz they know there isnt any reason to stir shit with the cruise organizers coz they arent driving every car that turns up ... theyre just saying 'hey some cars will be here at this time and go this way' :P
