How good do these work?
What are the disadvantages if any? (eg. Amount of HP able to hold safely)
The walls of the piping are roughly 1.5mm thick. Would these heat and bend?

the pipes from my intercooler to tb are alloy, i dont think heats enough to worry about it bending etc, you'd need to be getting it really hot for it to do that.
remember you'd be pushing hopefully cold air on the inside of the pipe anyway.
bonus for alloy is it's lighter and looks the shtness when it's cleaned up.

pressure wise and heat wise isnt going to be a problem you can even use plastic pvc piping for your intercooler.
most stock cross over pipes can hold upto 400PSI of pressure so aftermarket piping isnt going to crack even if it can only hold half the pressure the stock one can.
