if thats the case and 6500 dollars is for a basic rebuild, and u got that kinda cash id either rebuild or look for a rb26 half cut and do a transplant..

6500 for a basic rebuild is a bit steep.... does that include pulling the motor in and out etc....
Ive had motors (SR's) built for less than 3500 if the stock botom end and valves are still useable. Keep looking around.
Red top halfcults through maytech were just under 3500 last time I asked...

thats the hi octane kit....
$2450 online.... doesnt include the ACL bearings or the ARP stud kit.
The bearings and stud kit (head, mains, rods) probly less than $1000.. (180SXTCY did you use ACL bearings/ARP stud kit.. $$?
$3200 for assembly and machining... are they removing/refitting the motor from the car or are you dropping off the long block?

iam gettin the car towed there so they are removing and refitting the motor.. im still gonna call around n see if i can get the package cheaper caz with that high octane kit i still gotta buy the ALC bearings or the ARP stud kit, im not sure what the bearings are worth but the stud kit is approx $320 and buy the time i have to get the kit sent from over sea's ill end up paying the same amount as 2 buying it here in the package

no i didnt use ACL bearings but bearings are cheap anyway! yes i did use ARP conrod bolts, ARP main bolts and ARP head stud kit, all that ARP stuff around 750 bucks!
also dude, why u doing buying ARP stuff from over seas? ring Chris mills performance, he keeps arp stuff for sr's and his prices are good

theres also bulk ARP fixings on ebay (in australia) which are cheaper than retail..
180sxtcy are you using genuine bearings??

i just rang chris mills performance n the guy sed he has 2 make sum calls n sort out a kit for the sr20 and then gimie a call bak in a day or 2..and i heard that ACL bearings are not that good and to go with NDC bearings i dont know what 2 do caz ive got different work shops telling me different things..

Stud kit as in head studs and main studs.
Or just head studs ?
$320 for both is a really good price.
$320 for only one of the kits is exxy and we could beat that price easily.

i used "king" bearigns all round, there isnt alot of diffrence between them, just make sure you got the bearings with the oil groove in the center of them. this ensures better lubrication.

im not sure they just sed that it is an ARP stud kit 4 $320 but like i sed im not sure who to take my car 2 caz every1 has different packages and i dont have a clue how 2 rebuild it my self but i prolly could do it with help from my dad and mates but i dont have the tools

i know a bloke who builds sr's and does a very very good job at it, if u like i could ask him if he'd build one for you, but you would have to supply all the parts.
