I know this is prob not going to help you much but dont use wheel spacers.
I went down this road and was NEVER happy with the outcome.
Get the correct wheels.

chris260 thats pretty good advice but if done properly it can work out.
I'd only use wheel spacers on a 4stud car, becoz the right wheels are harder to get, if you've got a 5stud car, forget the spacers, just go and buy the right wheels.
What type of wheel spacers are you after EYEZ, bolt-on ones or slip-on ones? and how thick do you want them?
I've just bought a VW Golf R32 and the rear track is actually narrower than the front ... the guys on the European and Yank forums reckon I need some 12-15mm Spacers to bring the rear wheels out (and longer bolts also).
I might just get some made up through work ... might work out easier.
Cheers though guys
On another note, I LOVE the R32 Golfs!!!!

i believe the bolt-on (say 15mm to 30mm) ones are quite safe
slip on ones (usually thinner then bolt-ons.. say 5mm to 15mm) are risky as some people dont get longer studs put onto the hubs so the wheel nuts dont get enough thread to make it secure.. making it not as strong plus allowing it to possibly loosen off maybe hehe
i use 25mm bolt on spacers for front and rear on my car and i find it handles fine. no extra wobbles at high speed or anything like that. Hasnt loosened themself when i checked it either. Just that all forms of spacers are illegal apparently. oh well :)
yep they increase the loads on yur wheel brgs..
