Theres 2 eras of motorsport i wish i was around to see for myself. Early 70`s for touring cars and the early -mid 80`s for Group B and the turbo F1 cars

there are stories of lancia mechanics pulling fingers out of 037's and S4's intakes on the side of the car after very spectator congested rounds like corsica and portugal

they sound ALOT tougher than the current day EJ20/4G63 shtrs thats for sure. The drivers have much larger balls too, id say driving those Group B monsters would have been a big job.

yeah, those drivers are definitely packing some large balls, seems like they are never going to back off the throttle! the speed those things do on loose surfaces is rediculous, love it.

on one of the videos i watched

the guy said that when they were testing they're rally cars, on a circuit the same length as the F1 grand prix track, the rally car was 4 seconds slower than the f1 car... and they were driving on gravel roads :)

todays WRC cars are much quicker around the circuits these days due to far superior handling/engineering/tuning etc, but for outright power and porn spec sound, you cant beat Group B!
