Ben I have given no secrets away :)
Hans Cafe is a winner, actually got a hankering for some right now :)
Ok I love eating out, so I have a lot of opinions and preferences. These are the places that I recall as being excellent, from all the places I can remember that I've eaten at.
Billy Lee's ftw!!
Chu Sing in Stirling is always good for Chinese food, been eating there for as long as I can remember, never had a bad feed from there.
Sandwiches: Coast Sandwich Bar in West Perth has killa steak sandwiches
Best coffee: Delizioso Cafe in Carillon Arcade, Perth City.
Italian:
Rialto's in Subi (excellent if you have some "extra" cash floating around and you want to spend it),
Capri Restaurant in Freo is very authentic and excellent also.
Maurizio Restaurant in North Perth, below the Italian club, is even more authentic. If you want authentic cuisine from different regions, this is the place to go. You'll eat things you never thought existed ;)
For complete no frills dining, thats cheap and 100% authentic, try Domenics in Hampton Rd, Fremantle. Olde Worlde italian 1950s charm, brilliant food.
Little Italy Restaurant in Kallaroo brilliant also, for a local Italian restaurant. Authentic, reasonably priced, decent all round.
Dividio in Mt Hawthorn, same again...brilliant food, reasonably priced.
Mambo Italiano, City Beach....excellent again, good laid back, family atmosphere.
Pizza Bella Roma do great food, just make sure they arent too busy when you go there....you'll wait ages.
Sopranos in South Perth is excellent for pizzas and such.
Paradiso in Attadale, just across the rd from the Holden dealer on Canning Hwy....great price, quality Italian dining, and a great atmosphere for a local family owned restaurant.
Breakfast: Gino's in Fremantle, no questions. Riffo's in Maylands is also a top spot.
All round dining: Char Char Bull in Fremantle is killer for steaks, etc ($$ though), and Funtastico is always a decent feed at a decent price.
Pub: Oxford Hotel, awesome.
Little Creatures is an old favourite of many, has awesome beer too.
Quick Lunch: City Provisions, in Hay St Perth. Quick, cheap, and a huge range....all you can eat!!
La Via Cafe in St Georges Tce makes brilliant continental rolls.
Kebabs: Istanbul Kitchen, North Perth. Best kebabs in Perth.
Followed closely by Peters By The Sea...atmosphere is 2nd to none, especially on a hot summers Sunday afternoon.
Nicks Place is a great feed at 3am after a big night at Metros :D
Premium Eating: Globe Wine Bar in the City, awesome decor, fantastic food and an extremely good wine list ;)

Few favourites: Billy Lees, Hans Cafe (Japanese chicken rice ftw!), Matsuri (teriyaki chicken!), Benny's is always a winner to for a good burger, Caffe Amaretto in Ossy Park for some of the nicest Italian food I've ever had (and I'm a wog), Rialto's is also good Italian! Nicks Place in Fremantle for the best kebabs ever (big call, but I stand by it!), Atrium in Burswood has an awesome buffet (I get my moneys worth there). There's also a BOMBED little Chinese restaurant at Stargate Shopping centre down the road from mine, perfect for quick takeaway Chinese!

really cheap, really fkn good, liscenced, free quality chopsticks in a little bamboo box when you leave...
looking like my favourite japanese place to date...
other than that, not already mentioned... my local regular eatery would be 'SAIGON' in northbridge... primo semi traditional vietnamese... bombed.

For indian - Spices restaurant in Booragoon, across from Terrazza on Canning Hwy. Also dont mind Buddha Bar, the food, cocktails and atmosphere is always awesome there.
Kebabs - there is a kebab shop at the little Broadway shopping centre next to UWA, BEST kebabs in perth - so much so I have them once a week SOBER (the sign of an excellent kebab).
The sunday morning fry-up at the Como is also always recommmended.
Brockas was kinda kidding before, but Happy Days actually DO do a good pizza. Pizza With Attitude also, just a bit more $$$ cos its a bit more "gourmet".
I'm always up for a burger/pancakes/shake/Rocket from Retro Betty's in Leedi.
Oxford 130 does awesome coffee.
Muffins and coffee for brekky at Vans cafe in Cott is also recommended.
Best gnocchi I've ever had came from Siennas (I think?) in Mt Lawley.
Sunflowers in Claremont has been a favourite of the hockey boys for ages - many messy team dinners been had there. Same for Billy Lees and Uncle Billys.
The pizzas that Cafe Bellissimo in Claremont do are also recommended, great place to grab a bite on a fri or sat night before heading out.
WORST food and service I've ever had, and its been the same more than once - C-Blu in Cott. We basically just go there to drink a sunday arvo away these days.

I've been a couple of times, tend to save it as a "special occasion" kinda place, and as such have gone for steak, and remember having duck there once too. Will keep the gnocchi in mind - I LOVE a good gnocchi. (If Joe starts telling me about his grandmothers authentic gnocchi, I'm gonna have to hit him up for a sample :) )
On the topic of steaks, Zebras restaurant in Bicton/Applecross - authentic South African restaurant, brilliant meat dishes. And the owner is a champ, got to know him well while I was working at the Leo.
Ziggys Pizza "subs" (pizza toppings on footlong bread rolls) were also a favourite when working there, as was Centre Bull fries and their chicken & bacon burger (plus pineapple and sweet chilli sauce).
There is a japanese takeaway place on Hampden rd, do awesome teriyaki chicken for a $7 lunch - they put it out at 12, and you gotta get in there by 12.30 or it'll all be sold out. Its kind of a local legend.
The chicken cashew penne from Hot Box in Nedlands never disappoints either.
The Osyster Bar at port beach - best way to spend a lazy saturday arvo, sitting in the sun on the couches out the back, few bottles of wine, kick your shoes off and chill. Food and service is usually excellent.
Repeat again at the Left Bank on a sunday.

Arirang (Korean) - Barrack Street, between Murray and Hay St malls (hope you know how to wield metal chopsticks, otherwise eating could be a mission in itself)

Bunnings hot dogs for the win!
I Love the whole lets take an old house and turn it into a resturant thing.
So I love The Olive Tree and The Essex in freo, Parents friends run the witches couldren i love it there but i think its over priced. Black Toms is also good. Im there a bit with the girls from work. Anywhere that makes descent cocktails and brings the food out within half an hour of us getting there is goood to me.

ill 2nd the olive tree, nice atmosphere.
Went to the atrium resteraunt at burswood on sat morning, food was good, but the atmosphere wrecked my experience. Kids running past me knocking me while im trying to eat.
I think its not just the food that makes a good resteraunt.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but figured easier to continue discussion in one already on topic than start a whole new one....
What's good to eat at on a Saturday night? Restaurant spec a la take a girl out to eat type of deal.
I've been to Monte Fiore before but they are all booked out and read Lamont's to be good but it is Monday to Friday unless you have a group booking, wedding or function... Heard about CoCo's as well - anywhere else people recommened? Have been to Witches Cauldron before and didn't leave a fan...
Cheers,
Paul

Gogo's in Mt Lawley / Highgate... If the Indian cricket team make a point of going there everytime they are in town the food is clearly good and it is ! (It's also about 50m closer to home which is handy :p)
Northern suburbs there's a good one at Ocean Keys shops in Clarkson I forget the name of it but I used to order from there all the time when I was living up that way.
Punjab in Innaloo.. fuckin amazing
Agree Punjab is great, but after eating at Real Flavour of India in Vic Park that gets my vote for best indian in perth.

I have to say for a classy resteraunt. Jackson's in Highgate makes Coco's look crap.
Went to Coco's not long ago, It has gone downhill most likely because of Rockpool poaching the head chef.
Best Pizza in town is Il Padrino's in Northbridge. Aberdeen St, - opposite European Foods.
Nunzio Nici is a champ and always looks after us with lots of free shit every lunch.

Joe Joe's Pizza in Ballajura. I rate it. Great service and damn good Pizza for a fair price NOR.
kitsch is also really good! Funky place to go to.
For Pizza, little ceasers is a mainstay, and rightly so.
Marcos in Dog Swap
Magic Pizza in Innaloo is hit and miss - sometimes brilliant.
