he tells me it should comfortably crack around the 500rwhp mark. Combine that with an approx kerb weight of 1100kg, and it does become quite scary

wow. i knew dave had family over here but didn't think i'd stumble across any of you lot. scary!
that is going to bea bit of a handful. been following the build up for a while now. very very comprehensive build. pretty much everything possible has been done afaik. looking forward to power figures
LOL small bloody world.
Tell him tj said he smells :D
Yeah been following the build for a long time, good to see it nearly done.

fark i love the look and shape of these things. i was seriously considering buying a 2 door e30, droppin a 1uz + supra box n drivetrain and having v8 torque in a 1 ton car about a year ago but turns out i dont fit in them very well. barstards....

Thats a pretty optimistic figure with a 3076r, 500bhp probably.
Sully
08-11-2006, 01:10 PM
^^^^ what he said. don't think it'll be doing 500rwhp. maybe 500 at the crank but even thats optimistic. i'd like to be wrong though
Tell him tj said he smells :D
Do not. :p
It wont make 500rwhp. 450 at the crank maybe closer to the actual figure. HP figures aren't a concern. Its a track car, needs to have usable power, not dyno power.
Cheers
Dave

Lovely car.
Just a quick question if you can remember back a few years. When you did the rebuild how did you prime the oil pump? Reason I ask is i have an S50b30 going into my e30, changing the sump and pick up through necessity so I'll be doing the pump while I'm there. I haven't been able to find much on how people prime the pumps after changing.
