VHS to DVD

I have a vhs tapes that need to be put onto dvd.

Anyone here know how to do it ? or anyone know where i maybe able to get it done around Morley area preferably?

My dad's been copying all his old VHS family movies onto DVDs for a while now. I think he put a card in the comp with a video input, and some software that came with it. He connected the VHS player to the comp, played it, the comp encoded it, and then he burnt it on DVDs. I'd say call up a computer store and they'll be able to hook you up!

haha yeah its pretty famous, i was in most of the papers.

Not far off the record and i would of been the youngest to catch a sailfish from land in Australia maybe even the world. Very hard to land a fish that big let along 25 meters up a cliff face.

Iv been in heeps of magazines and news papers for other BIG catches and i write articals for a local fishing mag pretty often :)

You need a TV/Capture card, if you are going to buy one a half decent one is around the $150-180 mark, if you buy a cheap **** one then it will drain your cpu usage and not sync up properly when trying to capture a whole VHS at once..

Just look around for a Digital TV tuner, they have the s-video and rca inputs you need, if you want to borrow one, i have one you can use...

Best one IMHO is the DViCO TV Tuner - Fusion HDTV DVB-T Dual Digital

If you source a card make sure you capture to MPEG, mpeg-4 if possible, Avi will just make things take a whooole lot longer.

If you have a full spec version of Nero you can use NeroVision to capture straight to a DVDRW so you dont have to go through the process of capture -> convert to DVD -> burn dvd
