I love those things. Dump it!
Nice Jme.
Im probably biased but i would speak to mitch from WA Peformance, they have been turning out some decents cars of late LS1/LS2 powered and drive a turbo VY SS around

As Rhys said...can't go past WA Performance for LS1/LS2 Mods and Tuning in WA...By far the best results on the track where it counts...they use LS1Edit...tried and proven all over Aus.

Nice Jme but gimme ya porka anyday that thing is still ****ing **** hot.
I'm unsure how far the previous owner went with the car, it may already have a tune, i dont know, nothing to compare with yet. It has a complete extractor to tip system, comprising of competition extractors to 3" collector, 3" hi flow cats, 3" pipework through 3" mufflers which then reduce to 2.5" into resonators to the tips. Also has an SS inductions 'Growler Cold Air Intake'. So the only other thing would be an edit if it hasnt already been done.

jamie, the old boy took his clubby to active for their stage one kit comprising of extractors and full exhaust, cold air intake and mafless tune... I havent heard too many good things about the growler, if u google it, quite a few people have bagged it so maybe you could look at doin something a bit different there.
If you were looking at spending some money on it, id definatly look into active stage 2 kit, which comprises of a cam, and head work - new valves and springs etc etc. However, having spoken to someone with that kit on their LS2 vz SS, he mentioned he wasnt entirely happy with eddie's tune, and went to Slako's at west racing, it was down a little on power but driveability went through the roof. You should be looking at around the 400rwhp mark with that...
However with your mods, if u werent interested in a cam, go a FAST intake manifold, throttle body and maybe a different CAI setup and you'll be making high 300's if not even into the low 400's anyway...
good luck with it nice purchase.

I like the plates too...very fitting ;)
I noticed that too, and was then wondering how long they will be applicable for??
Do you still have the WRX? If not, what happened? If so, why are the plates on the 996 now? Curiosity.
EXPLICIT plates now on the Porsche, WRX is gone..
I just went for a spin in the new ride, and I must say....VERY nice, goes hard ;)

SS Reductions.................if you need some mod ideas...try LS1 Forums...just have to sort thru a hell of a lot of **** to get to what you want sometimes!
Edit will wake it right up:wave:

From what i've seen on some of Active's Gen3 cam tunes, what you are getting is the free tune that you get from purchasing a COME cam, there fore there not exactly a "TUNE" to your car, it's more along the lines of a standard mail order tune to get the car running. You will be lucky to make more power, but guarenteed to have **** fuel economy and drivability issues.
I know Chipmaster get atleast 2 of these cars in a week for retunes with thier 280rwkw "dyno" sheets and the owners are wondering why it doesnt feel more powerfull. the tunes are absolute ****, with afr's so messed up there practically pouring fuel out the exhaust.
However with your mods, if u werent interested in a cam, go a FAST intake manifold, throttle body and maybe a different CAI setup and you'll be making high 300's if not even into the low 400's anyway...

FAST= Waste of money. unless you have really big cubes, i.e bigger then 402ci plus you can issues with the manifold sealing etc. Changing Throttle body shouldnt be an issue anyway as the ls2's have an 90mm tb stock.
thanks for the feedback fellas, i'm not looking to do anything serious, its a daily i'm keen to keep the driveability as it is, just exhausting options on utilising whats already in place. Rex gone so plates went on porka.
Have a good weekend........when in doubt bake it out!!
