well at the moment i think i got a problem with hicas,
but im not sure
basically ill be driving along sometimes maybe on tonkin doin about 100 an it feels like the back end fishies out like the hicas is kicking in an then goes straight agian an it does it continuously for about 5 mins then goes back to normal, ive found it does it pretty randomly an feels like its the hicas (well thats the only thing i can think of) by the way this is on my r33 gtr - any ideas, would be greatly apprieciated, as it feels i might spin out of control lol when im driving. its pretty scary at 100kms

Lock bar will fix it...

As Rob said.... lock bar/hicas removal will fix it. I find it easier to drive these cars near the limit without hicas anyway...personal preference though.

Do you have an aftermarket steering wheel/boss kit? This could be causing dramas also.

Locking it is the only way to go.
I don't know what nissan was on when they decided to put it on their cars.
The idea is there but if you have ever taken a long bend at anythink around 120-140 or above it is the worst feeling you can have in a car. the instant you turn the wheel it feels like the rear end has given way and is turning where it likes.
Even most race GTRs dont run it so there must not be much advantage to it.

Also check rear suspension components - particularly the tie rod ends. Even a slight play in worn components can cause the symptoms you describe (I found mine were worn when I fitted a lock bar).

Makes a big difference once you remove it eh, particulary drifting..
