Hi all,

I have this crazy friend who is bored with his car and wants to upgrade the turbocharger(s) on it.

The questions is... he isnt sure what he wants to do.. single or twins.

Big single, makes a big fuss, looks awesome, sounds awesome, big presence, and wild power delivery. Usually makes big power, big lag.

Twins, low mounts, would be easier to install, stealth not a worry from a legal point of view, significantly less lag (perhaps) so great response, and best of all, something like GT2530s will make killer power.

Im sure everyone here has an opinion and I think they should let it know what they would do in the same situation :)

everyone likes a big single,

if you want something stealth, the turbos fabs had on his gtr, now mark has on his ceffy are a really good alternative to your hks 25 30/40's, they are a "factory" gcg replacement, but they are like a a 28 35, they are also good coz they use the std zorst manifolds, and they make the power

on fabs car they made mid 500's.

ofcourse your 25 30/40's are still and excelent options.

Done right both can work well, but to do it right means more than just the turbo, it means the right manifold, the right cams and the right tuning..

just slapping the turbo on will generally net mixed results.. good planning will avoid it tho..

True, but Ive been in a couple of decent GTR's in my time, singles and twin. my preference has been twins.

I dont profess to knowing it all , so please dont take it as gospel

Depends on whether or not you want any decent kind of response.

For decent response and good power, I'd suggest a pair of HKS GT-RS. If you just want a big wanky turbo that will make shitloads of power, go a T78/88 or T51R.
