Look at Western Salon on Saturday, race at Motorplex on Sunday FTW.
That said I'd be interested to know if anyone would not race because they are showing, or vice versa.
Well theres going to be people like me stuck with committments who wont be able to race, id love to do both personally.
Ie. work salon, race at hi tech.
Get onto it Luke!

Apparently a motorkhana and dyno according to the entry sheet but no details on website itself, www.westernsalon.com.au
Given Autosalon is in about a weeks times I don't think there will be anything different at Western.
Motorplex is on holidays at the moment but there will be some meetings regarding the Hi Tech Titles when they come back in August.
And how does one get involved in those meetings?

Ritual sacrifice.
Pikey is back at the helm of these events and has the intention to go to the grass roots level this season which means approaching all the clubs around town and getting them involved. Butters knows a bit as well.

Its probably a bit of suicide for the hi techs, given that id peg most shops will be more concerned about potential customers and business than setting a fast lap, and unless the plex really advertises the meet PROPERLY not in a half asses fashion like they do every other 4/6/rotary meet, they're going to struggle for spectator numbers..
IMHO it'll come down to an economic decision for the majority of the big players..
Especially when you take into account that they advertise WAW more than they have any of the 4/6/scrote stuff..
i'll be taking photos of Luke at the HiTech's... :)
plex meetings have precedence over everything for me at the moment...
When you say pics of luke youll be right, cos if its anything like last time, its going to pretty much be only luke, and when you couple it with PAS, your screwed, big time.
thats if PAS is on this year... if it's anything like last year, it'll get postponed.... :-)
oh, and nug, even with the 'half arsed promotion', have a look at the photos of the crowd at the plex's 'compact' events, and then look at the crowd at the corresponding events over east... i think i showed you the photos in dragster from some of the events over east, with not a spectator in sight...
(not trying to say the perth 'compact' events pull a huge crowd, just that there doesn't seem to be a huge market interest australia wide...)
Yeah but the scene there is so different, it was well promoted and run, and its grown....
Now name the guy who went to WSID, built it up, and then returned home.
he's already been named TJ
I know, thats the point, Petes back and will do an awesome job.
What he doesnt need is **** like this putting him backwards.

The heavily support jamboree's tend to say the east has a lot more people turn up than the WA stuff. they get very large crowds, but its all down to the advertising, they are heavily pushed in the mags months prior to the events..
if there was that style of marketing going on here, we'd see larger crowds and probably eastern interest..
Pete was here for the last half of last season too, I've seen the commitment he puts into the events, if there's public interest in something, he'll make it work...

Event will be moved...
Jamboree is the biggest event of its type, thats why it attracts the huge crowds.
Anyway, I'm quietly confident about this season. :)
now if only the Top Alky round didn't clash with Revheads :)
upcoming season will be good...

Yep.
Would be nice if we could get some more quick cars in the Pro Street bracket for this one, if your car runs anything under 11.5 I would be getting into it and having a go at some heads up racing.
